Before you start

Opening a ChatGPT account.

The tool writes your post and hands it to ChatGPT, which turns it into the finished image. To do that, ChatGPT needs to know who you are. That is the only reason for an account.

It is free, it takes about two minutes, and you do this once. Never again.

Open the page

Press the green button below. ChatGPT opens in a new window. Your work in the INSIDER tool stays exactly where it is.

Choose Sign up

You will see two words on the screen: Log in and Sign up. Log in is for people who already have an account. You want Sign up.

Use the email you already have

Type the email address you use every day. If you have a Google or Apple account, press that button instead and there is nothing further to type.

You do not need a new email address. The one you already use for work is right.

Choose a password

Write it down somewhere you keep safe, on paper is fine. You will need it if you ever sign in from a different phone or computer.

Confirm your email

ChatGPT sends you a message. Open your email, find it, and press the button inside. If it is not there after a minute, look in the folder your email calls Spam or Junk.

Open your email, find this message, and press the button inside it.

Enter your name and date of birth

A short form asks for your first name and your date of birth. Fill it in and press continue. That is the last step.

That is it. You are in.

Go back to the tool and press Generate My Post. Everything you wrote is still there, and from now on it goes straight through.
